Dreams swam in my mind to no avail,
And hot desires clattered in my brain.
I followed many rocky ledges and trail,
And love pursuit resulted in sheer vain.
As neophyte, love kept me on my toes,
Lengthy process with sudden impulses.
Perhaps, it was destiny or sheer fate,
In so far I only reaped love’s curses.
I ached from stories of broken hearts.
I marveled the Romeos and Juliets.
I read the tales and set them apart,
Some real and some are marionettes.
Alas, I did lose my true sense of strife,
I raved over many browsing cadences.
But the urges for true love often strike
I wind up ultimately behind the fences.
Today, my knight came to my rescue,
Dapper, gallant, loving and gentle,
I do welcome this so rare bit of cue,
O God… It was a miracle and a thrill.
