Between the maze of brain cells
And the heart echoing chambers,
The fight is fierce and intense,
Thus no time to sleep or slumber.
The first tends to reason for feud,
The other seasons the balsam lewd,
The first does not believe in St. Jude,
Whom for the other a daily ration of food.
Both declared war setting a duel,
Yet realizing the calamity cruel,
If one loses, the other will drool
And die due to co-existence rule .
The heart crowned over a stool,
Enforcing on brain his masochist tool,
And teaching him love enchanting jewel,
Finally, heart and brain carpool.
Love fills all the heart’s vaults
With inexplicable joy that’s wrought,
While the brain laments his own faults,
Nevertheless savors cautiously the jolts.
