The Night Moon

The fields robed with lovely green,

While the sky is just as lovely blue,

Awaits the night to hit the screen,

The hustling world since, weary, grew.

Endowed with zillion lights,

The night set, yet lit the midnight sky,

The very happy faced moon

Flirting with the earth while earth is wry.

The moon is full of glory

Shining to ease the gloom of the dark,

Revered by lovers as jolly

‘Specially to those lost in the park.

With its silver brilliance

Spreads his veil over the earthly scene,

Drawn by its quiet guidance,

The world reverently stood serene.

What a night, vigilant night!

Where pain and joy, toil and rest combine,

Yet the nights bring good council

And brighten all the morns with sunshine.
