My Sunshine

My head, for long, was bending low,

My soul, mourning, so sad and slow,

My heart, so weak, was ever pounding

Of aches and pains that will never go.

One day, you came as a ray of hope,

And you broke my sadness rope,

You cleansed me with lots of soap,

Instilling in me the courage to cope.

From the very depth of my being

Your love is truly shining now.

Instead of emptiness and jeering,

Joy has found its way somehow.

There’s sunshine in my heart today,

That lights each n’ every dreary path.

I dance thru them in a special way

And with you I did sing and I chat.

You can take a heart that’s aching,

And eyes that are filled with tears,

And a soul that’s always longing

To your love that casts out all fears.

So little time left to live and dream,

So little time, lo,  to shine and beam,

So little time, at last, would it seem

To share the love in its great realm.

Your presence keeps reminding me,

No matter how I feel or what I do,

Cheering my life, stirring my memory

That to your heart I should always go.

To the Lord I send my sincere prayer:

May He forever guide and bless you,

May you walk in sunshine and bear

Fruits of His Love and Blessings too!
