My Rose

I miss you … O my rose

I hold you close to my bosom

I water you with kisses so to blossom

I sing for you with poetry and prose.

I hide your scent in my heart

Allowing the dew to only glide over

Between my soul and spirit serving buffer

Every day you blossom for me

As sole and unique rose

Every morning and evening

You touch my lips

You caress my cheeks

You tickle my chin

You brighten my eyes

You ornate my lapel

You whisper to my soul

You reign over my spirit

And you capture my heart

You invade me with your aroma.
