Lifeless

I did walk with you, hand in hand,
But, for now, love seems written on sand;
Yet I stood by you, arm in arm,
Our love was and is true with marvel charm.

I hailed our differences more,
Honestly laying them flat on the floor;
I worshiped you and honored you,
I respected none safe the true you.

My love was and is very real,
As real as the sun that rises and reels;
Never loved an image nor dream,
But your real person that’s inside me scream.

Let me make it real simple for you,
It’s a matter of mere record so true,
You’re not only part of my life,
But the only life with its joy and strife.

I stand tall and proud of my love,
Forever you will be my raving dove,
I dared to cross the raging seas,
Just because of you, it was a breeze.

You may think I’m cruelly naive,
You only can … if you choose to believe;
You may think your heart I’ve broken,
How can I, and you’re my only life token?

How can such rare love end so fast?
How can such blessed devotion not last?
How can you shorten the seasons?
I thought we are each other life reason.

You saved me from my angry world,
Yet now I’m deprived of even a word,
We wade through anger, fear and pain,
We seek the whys, but they echo in vain.

The pain oppressed our bodies deep,
Only despair, blanketing us, we’ll reap;
Sorrow camped in my aching soul,
I will surely never survive the fall.

How oft I looked and failed to see,
How often I heard you and failed to be,
I must admit, to my chagrin,
I goofed miserably and walked on thin.

My many life cares made me stray,
I lost my mind so now my life sway,
With every sunset and sunrise,
I do sense the awesomeness of the price.

Humbly I beg you… forgive me?
Don’t shut your heart now, please don’t let it be,
I feel stripped of the only pal,
You‘ll always be my only love and gal.

In all, I’ll learn to bear my loss,
And life lifeless will journey on the cross;
I pray for peace for you and me,
I pray, today, from pain to be set free.

May your sky remain lovely blue,
May your tender heart be filled with joy true,
May hope rise and be just as sweet
In making your life wonderfully complete.

May peace, honor, love and beauty
With happiness and hope serving duty,
Be with you each and every day,
And to never, from you, be faraway.

You might find some humor to jeer,
Safe for my mental wall, nothing to cheer;
Memories … can there be anymore?
May God bless you now and forevermore?
