Love & Lust

Lust is sometimes called love,

Pairing beast with turtle dove,

Love is heaven, lust is hell,

In between them the minds swell,

Love is redeemed in its quest,

Lust daydreams of devil’s twist,

Love is life’s real honored fame,

Lust oft ends in guilt and shame,

Love is cuddling gentle heart,

Lust is grief and sin imparts,

Love is both the health and wealth,

Lust is the sign of ill stealth,

Love is brighter than the sun,

Lust always steals all love’s fun,

Love is sign of being close,

Lust is seeing thorns not rose,

Love own soldiers do bear arms,

Lust peons distort the charm,

Love and lust are not the same,

In mirror, two faces lame,

Stick to love and you’ll fly high,

Lust aftertaste bitter and dry.
